Gorilla Glory

Once upon a time, in the late 1970s, a somewhat odd young lady purchased an extremely odd plastic gorilla bank.  Somewhere down the line, she decided to give the gorilla to her sister who likely found it just as exciting.

About 40 years later, the sister decided to give the gorilla back to its original owner.

The somewhat odd original owner then passed it down to her relatively unusual 3-year-old granddaughter last Saturday.  Who needs grandma's china when you can pass down this gem to future generations.

Guess who's house this is in.

Need another hint?  Check out these buddies.

Remember Rockwells' 1984 hit, "Somebody's Watching Me"...

"And friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them, And a friend will not save never, 'Cause the welcome will not end.  Though it's hard to let you go, in the Father's hands, I know, that a lifetime's not too long to live as friends..."  - Michael W. Smith.  And me, in Jr. High singing delightfully in a trio in front of church.

You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.

Marina was excited to discover that, "if you drop money in his head, it comes out his booty."  Yes, it can be the same way for Marina and Shredded Wheat.

Here is a completely unrelated event.  Eli was working on a football pose that was supposed to look like the Heisman trophy and Marina said she was posing while dancing.

A new family heirloom has been inducted into our family's hall of fame.  Marina walked into our bedroom Sunday morning at 6:23 carrying her gorilla.  A girl and her plastic gorilla bank are not easily separated.  So far she has two pennies, a Benny the bull figurine, a ping pong ball and a mini Ariel saved up.  It's actually remarkably similar to her parents' savings account.
